Cricket India - Famous Victory Videos

Starting as a Indian Cricket Team in 1932, India has covered a large distance but there are some victories which are very crucial and also zeal the Indian Cricket supporters. According to me there is some mates which may categories in India's Famous Victories.

1983:Vs West Indies, World Cup Final, Lord's

1983 was when the West Indies were what Australia are today: the Dadas of world cricket. India were the minnows. When India were bowled out for 183 and the Windies got off to rocking start, everyone but the most upbeat optimist abandoned all hope of Kapil Dev's boyes bringing home the word cup. But Madan Lal and Mohinder Amarnath took there three wickets each in quick session, dismissing the mighty West Indies for 140. Were we dreaming? We weren't. The World Cup was ours.

2001:Vs Australia, 2nd Test, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Eden Gardens

At the end of second day of the test against Australia, India had made 171 in their first innings and were asked to follow on. VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid came to the rescue, hitting a magnificent 281 and 180 respectively. Then there was no looking back. India declared their innings closed on 657/7 and the Australians went out to get 384 they required. But they were bowled out for 212. India had won by 171 runs. It was only the third time in Cricket history that a team had won after being asked to follow on.

2002:Vs England, Natwest Final, Lord's

The final of the Natwest Series was a nail bitter. England won the toss and opted to bat, notching 325. India started with bang with Suarav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag making 100 at 80 balls, but after Ganguly was bowled, the wickets of Sehwag, Mogia, Dravid and Sachin followed. Yuvraj Singh and Mohhamad Kaif got India into reckoning with a partnership of 121 off 106 balls that ended when Yuvraj fell in the 42nd over. At the end , We needed two runs off the last over. Flintoff produced two dot balls before Zaheer Khan pushed the third into cover and he Kaif scrambled to make two runs. We'd Won.

2003:Vs Pakistan, World Cup, Centurian, S.Africa

Indian cricket fan went delirious after pulled off a stunning victory against arch rivals Pakistan, sailing into the super six stage of the World Cup match before, but Sachin Tendulker's 98 despite a pain in his leg helped us chase down a victory taget of 274 with ease in 45.4 overs. Yuvraj Singh, unbeaten at 50, and Dravid, unconqured on 44, ended the innings.

2004:Vs Pakistan, 1st ODI, Friendship Series, Karachi

The Karachi ODI was special since it was the first in years that India was plying in Pakistan. India batted first, making 349. No team had ever successfully chased 350 in an ODI and Indian fans didn't think Pakistan would do so till its skipper Inzmam-Ul-Haq came in. Smashing 121 in one of his best innings ever, he finally fell to a ball from Kartik, Indian fan chewed their nails. In the end , Moin Khan needed to hit a six off the last ball. But he spooned a full-toss to Zaheer at extra cover. India had won.

2007:Vs Pakistan, 20-20 Final, Johannesburg, S.Africa

Every one know the importance of match against Pakistan. Do you think if match will be final of world cup with Pakistan then how much it will be important. India and Pakistan was on the final of 20-20, India made 157 runs, one of the lowest run in the World Cup. But the rocking bowling start by Rudra Pratap Singh laid them in trouble. After these wickets Pakistan was coming in the game but the Irfan Pathan spell break their hope of winning World Cup. In the 17th and 18th over Misbah-Ul-Haq and Sohail Tanvir hitted 5 sixes and back the Pakistan in game. But in last over Misbah selected very poor shot for hitting winning six and he gave catch to Sreesanth. India become first World 20-20 Champion.

I hope India will perform well in next coming days and compel me to add their new victories.
